Start with the mobile buying path

Visit the store on a real phone. Open a collection, compare products, view variants, add to cart and reach payment. Look for clipped content, confusing offers, inaccessible controls, missing information and distractions around checkout.

Check product and feed truth

Prices, inventory, variants and descriptions should agree between the Shopify product page and advertising catalogs. Feed mismatches can block products or create customer disappointment. Check returns and shipping information on the pages where customers make decisions.

Reduce technical friction

Review theme and app conflicts, slow scripts, images that are unnecessarily large, broken links and redirects. Do not chase a synthetic speed score while ignoring a real purchase-path failure. Record the baseline before each meaningful change.

Make purchase events trustworthy

Ensure the store and advertising platforms receive appropriate purchase signals, with consent-aware configuration. Compare tracked events with actual orders and investigate large discrepancies. Never assume the ad platform is a complete order ledger.

Establish a change rhythm

Keep a backlog with severity, owner, approval, expected effect and rollback. A calm weekly improvement process is more sustainable than launching a rushed redesign every time ad performance falls.
